Privacy Policy

Morphsy keeps a photo journal and turns it into a film. This page explains what the app stores, what leaves your phone, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not filed.

    What Morphsy stores

    • Your account. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the name, email address and profile picture that provider gives us, along with an ID for your account. Your password never reaches us.
    • Your journeys and frames. The journeys you create — their titles, dates and reminder settings — and the photos you keep in them.
    • Your subscription status. Whether Morphsy Pro is active on your account.

That is the whole list. Morphsy has no notes, no tags, no measurements and no health fields — it holds nothing about you that you did not type in or photograph yourself.

  • Nº 02

    Your photos

When you keep a frame, Morphsy uploads it to your account. That is how a journey survives a lost phone and follows you to a new one. There is currently no local-only mode — keeping a frame means uploading it.

Each frame is resized on the way up, which removes the metadata your camera wrote into the original file.

Uploaded frames are then processed automatically to trace the outline of what is in them. That outline is what the app draws as the faint Ghost over the camera, so today’s shot lines up with yesterday’s. The processing receives only the image itself — no name, no email, no device details — and returns only the outline.

Your photos are yours. We do not publish them, show them to other users, or use them to sell you anything.

    What stays on your device

Films are made on your phone. When you develop a journey, the video is rendered locally and saved into Morphsy’s own folder on the device, where other apps cannot reach it. The finished film is never uploaded to us and we never hold a copy.

Sharing a film hands the file to your phone’s normal share sheet. Where it goes next — Photos, a message, another app — is your choice, made outside Morphsy.

    Permissions

Morphsy asks for two permissions, each at the moment you first need it.

    • Camera — to take the photos you take. The viewfinder runs only while you are on the Capture screen. Morphsy never uses the camera in the background and records neither video nor sound.
    • Notifications — only if you set up a reminder. Reminders are scheduled and shown by your own phone; Morphsy sends no push notifications, and no reminder text travels over the internet. Declining simply means reminders do not appear.

Morphsy asks for nothing else. It does not request location, so it cannot tell where you are or where a photo was taken. It does not read your photo library — this version has no way to import an existing photo into a journey.

    The services we use

Morphsy relies on a few outside services to sign you in, store your journeys and frames, produce the alignment outline described above, handle subscriptions, take payment and let us know when the app breaks. These services include Firebase, Google and Apple sign-in, Google Cloud, RevenueCat, the App Store and Google Play.

Each one receives only the information it needs to do its job, and nothing more. Your photos are handled solely by the storage and processing described above.

Payment is taken entirely by Apple and Google. Your card details never reach us.

  • Nº 06

    What Morphsy does not do

    • No advertising. Morphsy shows no ads and carries no advertising software.
    • No location tracking. The app never asks for location access.
    • No usage analytics. We do not track which screens you visit or what you tap.
    • No selling. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
    • No reaching further into your phone. No contacts, no calendar, no microphone, and no files outside Morphsy’s own folder.
  • Nº 07

Security and how long we keep things

Everything the app sends travels over encrypted connections, and your journeys and frames are stored in an area of our system reserved for your account. Only you can browse them from the app.

We should be straight with you about two things. Morphsy is not anonymous — your frames are tied to your account. And people with administrative access to our systems can, in principle, open a stored file; we do so only to investigate a fault or when you ask us to.

We keep your account, journeys and frames for as long as your account exists. Nothing is removed on a timer. Deleting a journey in the app takes it out of your journeys, but its frames stay in our storage until the account is erased.

  • Nº 08

    Deleting your data

You can delete your Morphsy account and the data stored with it at any time.

The quickest way is in the app: go to You → Account → Delete account.

If you cannot reach the app, use the delete account page, or email contact@forgebase.xyz from the address linked to your account. We confirm it is you and complete the deletion within 7 business days.

Morphsy is not intended for children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it and the data stored with it.

  • Nº 09

    Your choices and contact

Nothing is captured unless you take the photo. Beyond that, you can pause or switch off a journey’s reminders in the app, revoke camera or notification access in your phone’s settings at any time, and manage or cancel Morphsy Pro from the subscription screen.

Want a copy of everything we hold, or have a question about any of the above? Email contact@forgebase.xyz. For help using the app, start at the support page.

When the app changes in a way that changes this page, we update it and the effective date at the top.
